Guide: PvP

*PvP stands for Player vs Player

There are three different PvPing methods.

Method I:
Method I is going into battle grounds. battle grounds have a certain objectives. Warsong Gulth, for instance, is a level 10+ battle ground where the objective is to capture the other factions flag three times. Most people just sit in the middle of the battle ground trying to get as much honor points as possible (namely twinks, which will be in another topic.) Little do they know that capturing the flag gets them more honor points.

Method II:
Method II, some may find slightly cruel, and others get a sick pleasure from it. Don't worry, the victim doesn't lose anything. They may attack back, or run away. A popular place of attack on the horde would be the Cross Roads. And the alliance suffer attack at Sentinel Hill.

Method III:
Method III is doing arenas. you can only do arenas at level 70+ with an arena team. There are three types of arenas.
Type one: 2v2 (two players vs two players of the other faction)
Type two: 3v3 (three players vs three players of the other faction)
Type three: 5v5 (five players vs five players of the other faction)

Guide: Instances

There are a variety of instances in the lands of Azeroth.
There are level caps on instances.

The lowest leveled instance is Ragefire Chasm (a horde only instance)
And the highest level (in the Burning Crusade expansion) is Karazahn

Some instances can be entered with no group, but only if you have a high enough level to do it alone with no healers. But it is preferred to do instances your own level with people your level group.

There are also instances (called raids) Which you can only get in with a raid group. Raid groups can have up to 40 people in it.

Guides: Items

There are 6 different types of items.
List with name colors:
Poor - Grey
Common - White
Uncommon - green
Rare - Blue
Epic - Purple
Legendary - Orange

Poor is what you find as a lower level, and as you work your way up, you find better items. Legendary is the hardest kinds of items to find.

WoW Guide: The Basics. [For the newer players]

Ok. Here we go with a few of the basic commands in WoW.

Movement:
Moving is easy. The default movement keys are "W" "S" "A" "D" "Q" and "E"

"W" - forward
"S" - backwards
"A" - turn left
"D" - turn right
"Q" - walk left
"E" - walk right

You may also use your arrow keys, but they don't give you as wide a range as the letters.

You can change these setting, but we will learn this later.

Hot keys:
There are hot keys you can use for faster attacks.

WoW Image 1
Ok, as we see here, there are icons, that, if these hot keys weren't here, we would have to click to cast spells. With a hot key, we are able to press a key on our keyboard to cast the spell. In order to get to your spell book, click on the Spell book wow icon, and bring the spell down. choose wisely where you put the spells (And yes, the hot keys can be changed so don't freak out if you accidently put the spell on the wrong one!) because the better placed they are, the better you'll look when you are killing things. (IMHO anyway.)

The Map:
The map shows where you are. It is located in the upper right hang corner of your screen. Press M to bring up a map f your region (I.E. If your in Stormwind, it'll show all of Stormwind instead of your surrounding area.)
